“We are currently 6 months through our annual training plan for year ending 31/01/2018 and have managed to achieve 98 training days for all levels of staff.
This can be broken down into • 70 training days and • 28 modular training and e-learning
Training courses ranged from asbestos awareness, non-licensed removal, abrasive wheels, working @ height, harness use and inspection and manual handling to name bit a few. Modular training days were based upon the GT700/16 tool box talk manual and were delivered weekly on all sites across the company.
Finally a number of direct payment courses such as the CITB SSSTS, and 1 day H&S awareness were delivered and did not form part of the above figures.
We are also continuing with our site operatives undertaking NVQ level 2 qualifications in both bituminous felt roofing and liquid coatings, with the aim of all our workforce with the exception of labourers achieving Blue CSCS card status.
